Maharishi Light Technology with Gems (MLG) was developed over a period of 30 years by gemologist Joachim Roller, under the guidance of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Transcendental Meditation® program. Joachim was aided in the development of this technology by his wife, Iris Roller.
Joachim Roller graduated from one of the most prestigious jewelry design and gemology schools in Europe. After becoming a jewelry designer, he founded his own business, working with famous designers of the time. Joachim has also worked as chief designer for Christian Dior.
Research Guidance from Maharishi
In 1973 he learned the Transcendental Meditation technique®, and in 1975 became a teacher of the TM® program. In 1978, due to his expert knowledge of gems, Joachim was invited to a personal meeting with Maharishi.
At the end of the meeting, Joachim asked Maharishi how he might use gemstones to promote better physiological balance and development of higher states of consciousness. Maharishi advised him to look into Ayurveda, the traditional health system of India, and to connect this ancient wisdom with modern technology.
Discovery: Light Enhances the Positive Effects of Gems
Thus began a 30-year quest by Dr. Roller to revive the ancient knowledge of using gems to support better physiological balance and spiritual development. He began by studying the benefits of wearing gems and found that in order to receive positive effects for the individual as a whole, it was necessary to use comparatively large gemstones. But most people could not afford to buy a 5-carat emerald or diamond.
Then he made a fascinating discovery: the positive effects of the gems are enhanced when a specific type of light passes through the gemstones. Thus he began to work with the process of shining light through the gems.
Structuring the MLG Program and Training Practitioners
Joachim met with Maharishi again in 1984 and showed him the gem beamers he had designed. Maharishi approved of this new approach and encouraged Joachim to continue his research. Joachim began testing the Maharishi Light Technology with Gems in Germany that year.
Joachim completed his gem light research in 2007, when Maharishi structured the basic procedures for the gem-light program. The following year, Joachim and Iris held the first training course for MLG Practitioners. Today this valuable new technology is available in the United States and around the world.
